my recent stay in helsinki at this cool hotel totally exceeded my expectations. the converted prison vibe added a unique charm. The spacious superior room had a lovely courtyard view. the hearty breakfast with fresh pastries and diverse options made mornings enjoyable.

The comfortable bed ensured a great night's sleep, and I appreciated the charming atmosphere. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the ferry terminal and close to various attractions.

Request a room with windows that have a better view, as the high windows aren't ideal for natural light.

The concept of staying in a renovated prison intrigued me. I found the dining options interesting, especially the simple Scandinavian dishes offered. The location was easy to navigate, close to various attractions. However, I was disappointed by the small room size and the ventilation which felt inadequate. I noticed this more as a light sleeper, making it difficult to relax well during my nights there.

Staying here was fantastic because it’s only a few steps from the Uspenski Cathedral and around a 15-minute walk to the Esplanadi Park, both must-see spots for any city explorer like me. the hotel also had friendly staff who really knew how to make your stay comfortable, offering tasty complimentary meals that were a great surprise during my solo trip.

This place has one of the coolest pasts—it's a former prison turned into a quirky hotel! I loved the complimentary 'Fika' with delicious coffee and cake every afternoon. it felt like a cozy communal moment. The room was a fantastic blend of history and comfort, featuring a king-size bed that made my stay so restful!
